Located just 20 minutes from the hotel on Assateague Island!
The park is open from dusk till dawn. Assateague is miles of
unspoiled beach with wild ponies that roam its beaches. Take
Coastal Highway South for 3 miles, then take Route 50 West.
Once across the bridge, make a left at the 3rd intersection,
Route 611. Once on Route 611, follow the signs for Assateague
State Park.

Named after the Assateague ponies which inhabit the area.
Enjoy the natural environment while drinking in the history of
this barrier island. Dunes, beaches,shorebirds, surf, marshlands
and forest will all lure you to stay as long as possible. Take advantage
of the seashore demos, programs for kids, lectures and guided tours
offered by the National Park Service, daily during the summer months
and weekends during the fall and spring. An aquarium awaits you at the
Seashore Visitor’s Center, as well as informational literature.

Stop off at the harbor and watch the commercial fishing vessels
unload their catch.
HISTORIC BERLIN, MARYLAND
Berlin is a quaint town made up of small specialty and
antique shops. Berlin was where the filming of the movie
Runaway Bride, starring Julia Roberts, took place. Take
Coastal Highway for 3 miles, then take Route 50 West.
After the bridge on Route 50, travel for about 5 miles,
where you will take the Berlin exit. Signs will guide you
to the downtown area.

Our hotel is protected by fire prevention devices and alarm systems. Please make yourself aware of the emergency procedures listed here to further enhance your safety and security. YOUR BEST DEFENSE AGAINST A FIRE IS TO PLAN AHEAD.
- Locate two exits nearest to your room. Be sure they are unlocked and unblocked. Then count the doors between your room and exits so you’ll have a reference point if is smoky or dark.
- Learn the layout of your room and how to unlock the door in the dark.
- Locate the fire alarm on your floor. If you find a fire in your room or somewhere else, sound the fire alarm.
- When you hear the fire alarm, act, don’t investigate.
- If the fire is in your room, get out and close the door. Once out, report the fire to Management and call the Fire Department.
- If the fire is not in your room, leave if you can. First, feel the door. If it’s cool, open it slowly and go to the nearest exit.
- NEVER USE ELEVATORS DURING A FIRE. They could stop at the fire floor.
- If your room door is hot, don’t open it. Your room may be the safest place to be. Call the Front Desk or the Fire Department and report the fire and your location. Seal all cracks with wet towels. Shut off fans and air conditioners. Signal at your window or balcony for help and wait to be rescued.
- Crawl low in smoke. Fresher air will be at the floor. If you encounter smoke or fire at lower levels, turn around and use another exit. Take your key so you can go back to your room if you can’t use your exits.
